About Us

About Now What

We're building something to fill the gap between school and real life — one practical skill at a time.

Our Mission
"Now What exists to teach young adults the practical life skills they need to build a stable, confident, and intentional adult life."

We believe the transition from school to adulthood shouldn't be a guessing game. Our mission is to make practical knowledge accessible, approachable, and actionable — so you can spend less time feeling lost and more time building the life you want.

The Problem

The skills gap nobody talks about

Many young adults are academically and professionally prepared — but not practically prepared. School taught them how to study, take tests, and land jobs. But once the job starts and the diploma is on the wall, a new set of challenges arrives that nobody prepared them for.

Important decisions come fast after school. How do you start saving for retirement? What does buying a house actually involve? How much does a car really cost beyond the monthly payment? How do you make friends when you're no longer surrounded by classmates?

Most people are left to figure these out alone — through stress, trial and error, or expensive mistakes. That's the gap Now What was created to fill.

The Vision

A generation equipped for real life

We envision a world where young adults feel genuinely prepared for adulthood — not just professionally, but practically. Where conversations about money, housing, relationships, and life planning are normal, approachable, and empowering.

Practical knowledge should be accessible to everyone, not just people with wealthy parents or finance degrees. Community, confidence, and preparedness should be the norm — not the exception.

Our Story

Why we started Now What

Now What started from a simple observation: the most capable, ambitious people in their 20s are often the least prepared for the practical realities of adult life. They can build spreadsheets and ace presentations — but they don't know how to buy a car without getting taken advantage of, or how to start a retirement account, or how to build a social life in a city where they know nobody.

We noticed this gap in our own lives and in the lives of people around us. The advice out there is either too generic, too complicated, or buried under a mountain of "hustle culture" content that doesn't actually help.

So we decided to build the thing we wished existed: an event that teaches real, practical life skills in a way that's honest, modern, and actually useful. Not a lecture. Not a seminar. A real experience designed for people who want answers, not just motivation.
